The smoke calms the bees down a little. I never use protective clothing as they will not sting unless they feel threatened.

In it's time this would have been a very wealthy family's house. It is being preserved at great effort and expense, and the inside is now more of a museum.

Turntable wobbles way too much
It may have been like that from day one, but I will not attempt to correct it just in case it gets worse or damaged.
Salutations from far South Brasil-Porto Alegre, the simple fact of answering my question you were helpful,i`m trying to find a way to show you my problem, but mainly is the big play between the arm fitting and the body/loud speaker,is there any spring or something like this?
See if this helps. ua-cam.com/video/2wTlwp-3Hks/v-deo.html
You a man of antiques

"Well worn 78's while may sound bearable on acoustic machines will sound positively terrible on electric players." Not always, the point is, that you may play it on electric player with steel needle, to get better results.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuupeeeeeeeeeeer!!!!!
Your gearcover looks different than my Model D
Emphasis on the "crap" 😂
I have a spring that needs this treatment. Thank you for a great video. Cheers Paul
Beautiful sound hit n miss. Cool thank you for videos Sir.
the cylinder is turning the WRONG direction, there is supposed to be a half twist in the string to make the cylinder turn the correct direction.
If it did would it not make the music backwards? Or totally garbled?
It is supposed to play this way and the reproducer stylus is angled in the opposite direction
Thanks, really useful video 😀
Amazing.
All 78 RPM records are Used as far as I know.
Some more, some less. When the record is from 1938 and later, there is some chance, that the previous owner used a player with lightweighted pick up with sapphire stylus. On UA-cam are some videos with pretty good sounding records that gives an impression, how good shellacs can sound. When recording industry used condenser microphones, the only limitation was, that the highest frequencies are between 7 and 10 kHz, few records has higher frequencies, but these caused problems on cheap players.
Mary had a little lamb, the doc was so surprised, but when Old MacDonald had a farm that really blew Doc's mind! LOL Sorry, had to get that in there! The temptation was too great. Mind you there are versions the kiddies shouldn't hear..... LOL
